Some adjectives used by others to describe me: loud, sarcastic, rude, over the top, misunderstood.

I like that last one - I am one of those people who manages to inadvertently offend people and spends hours afterwards feeling bad about it. I miss social cues, I make jokes at the wrong time, and I definitely can’t ‘read the room’.

When it comes to dating I’m even more out of my depth. After six years single and a ton of therapy, I’ve decided to try dipping my toes into this elusive world again. I’m going online thanks to people I know who have actually married someone they met on an app.

Going by my track record, there’s a really good chance I will mess this up. Hopefully you can learn from me what not to do as I navigate through this wilderness trying to find my happy ever after.
